The Game Developers Conference started as an informal meeting of 25 developers in a game designer’s living room. Initially focusing on computer games, the conference has grown and diversified along with the gaming industry to include a variety of platforms including consoles, mobile and handheld devices, tablets, online and PC games, and is expanding into the VR and AR space for gaming and entertainment.
The conference advisory board is comprised of experienced gaming and virtual reality/augmented reality industry professionals who volunteer their time each year to help develop the conference program and sessions.
